COVID is not Judgment

I have seen a lot of posts referring to COVID-19 as God’s judgment on us.   So I thought I would share my thoughts on this as well.

John 3:16-17 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life! For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him."

Ahhh “THE” scripture that most know, even nonbelievers are familiar with John 3:16.  However, I want to take our focus to verse 17.

Jesus came to have relationship with us. Not to condemn us. If someone is "condemning" you or passing "judgment" on you it makes it difficult to build a loving relationship. I'm mean seriously who wants to be in relationship with someone who is always condemning/judging you. I know I don't!
Jesus took too much on the Cross to shame us, threaten us, scare us, or manipulate us into a relationship with Him.

Don’t get me wrong, one day, each one of us, Believers and Nonbelievers will stand before God and be judged.  It’s just not today.

Rejection Sucks

We’ve all been rejected in some form or another.  Some of us handle it better than others.  Sometimes it is devastating and heartbreaking and sometimes it just a “move on” moment.

Queens, I’ve been there.  It seems for most of my life I have felt the sting of rejection.  I’ve been rejected by my Dad, clients, and men, friends, etc …

Today, I want to discuss men.  When a man rejects us our first instinct is to throw ourselves on him.  To do or say the right things for him to want us or sometimes make him wish he never rejected us in the first place.  Don’t do this.  He will never respect you.

Sometimes we feel that we need to explain our position.  No, we don’t.  He heard how you felt the first, second and third time, if you gave him a third time.  The fact of the matter is, he didn’t care.
Don’t go running back hoping that you can say it differently to manipulate him back or to manipulate him into being the man you want.  We all want to be loved, but let’s not manipulate it.

Don’t tell yourself you need to go back for “closure”.  Closure is overrated and once again an excuse to try to manipulate him into feeling sorry for letting you go.  Here’s the deal, when he blocked you on Facebook, that was “closure”.

No matter how many times you try to connect with him there will always be things left unsaid.  Write them in your journal.  He doesn’t care.  He has moved on and so should you.  Take a minute, cry, feel the pain, vent to your girlfriends, but only a minute.  Then pick yourself up, be glamorous, and do what you came to do.

Ladies, Queens, the Truth of the matter is, if a man wants you in his life, you’re going to know.  He’s going to be there front and center.  There will be no guessing.
Remember, mixed signals = NO.  Move on.
